[The Chicken Leg]

hmm

you asked for criticism so here it is:

a) there was no backround
b) there was music but no voices. you can easily get a cheap mic. or have a friend record voices for you.
c) your character has no face. its just a bunch of circles
d) all the animation in this was motion tweens. which is silly and wastes time. especially considering your character only did only made two motions: getting up to the table, and picking up the chicken. both of which would have looked better with some traditional animation.

other than that, not bad.

Thanks. I didnt have time for voice acting at 4 am, but hey! I like things quick and simple when it comes to making an animation quick.
Tweens aren't bad. They're just there for lazy animators. (Like myself) : D

my friend r wappin told me to watch this and so I did

this was pretty great! silly animation, good timing on the gags, very old school. very loony tuney.

honestly the only thing i could nitpick at was there needed to be more sound effects. its kinda odd when the characters are running and there's complete silence.

i think that old sound effect fred and barney's feet made in the flinstones when they ran would fit perfectly in here.

other than that, this was great. shame it didnt score higher. but thats to be expected here :/

that shot when frosty turned his head and his eye was drizzling out of his face was horrifying and great.

The shading in this was great.

Maybe I'm wrong, but i think you put the shading on its own layer, made it a movieclip, and then set it to affect the colors underneath?

I take it a step further, I make each frame a movieclip, then select all and add effects in one shot, this keeps it from lagging and you can see the animation in the timeline.

it never got too visually confusing.

you used two different styles of animation in here. and i think when you do your pose-to-pose stuff (like the shot when they are in the sleigh right after they beaned frosty the snowman in the head) looked SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the parts where you made the characters out of symbols and tried to slide em around to simulate movement.
but you did a bit more pose-to-pose than the symboled animation, so good for that.

also those lightning bolts of green at the beginning looked cool.
you should try doing more effects animation. (smoke, dust, lasers, fire, water, etc) cause i think you'd be quite gewd at it."
