what a treat to see this when I got home from work.

I really like the character design of the little fellow in this. Very cute and harmless.

You did some more traditional animation in this too, which is different.

I think the only problem is, due to some reason, your credits at the end are literally only half-there.

I see... that's very odd because the credits work perfectly when I watch them.
I just worked a bit with them and updated the movie here on NG. Hopefully they work for everybody now.

i hope, when I die, and whats left of my family are huddled around my casket at the funeral, and not a smile is to be found, that someone will have brought a boom box.
and that upon hitting "play" only one sound will blare crystal clear across the silent pasture:

"LOOK AT MY DICK"

and then truly, would I be at peace.

Its easily the most obscene piece of circus-clown-related animation I have viewed on the internet since the incident. I would like to commend the degenerates that produced this on their unique comedic intellects.

A nice moody little cartoon
very relaxing.

from a technical standpoint impressive, considering its like 50% masking and 50% bitmaps and yet isnt 99999999 gigabytes in size, considering how poorly flash exports masks and bitmaps.

it reminds me a of a cartoon called PAPER SKY thats here on newgrounds and atomfilms as well

good stuff all around
good choice of music as well
few cartoons use jazz or the blues which is a bit of a shame as they are some of the most pure sound around

I got really worried about filesize at one point when I was watching the SWF export, I had the window where it shows you the filesize open, and as it went up it passed 10 MB and went all the way to 10.9, so I was like, OH DAMN. but then some how (?? I still don't know how, haha) when I checked it again it was 9.5, which was really bizarre.

I love paper sky. its beautiful. I saw it on atomfilms when I was like, 8 and it amazed me. that was before I started animating stuff. I guess if you put two and two together you could say that thats one of the subtle pieces that influenced me. I hadn't thought of that before.

newgrounds should have a jazz day. like madness day or whatever except for jazz. cause you're right, theres like, none of it around here.

oh and btw, you totally blocked me from your userpage >:( I think I told you to get a wacom or something a while back. but Im still banned! :P

Wonderful

All the low reviews from people writing "durrr this looks liek it shud be on tv not on newgrounds" shows, yet again, that newgrounds has dropped even darker into the abyss and seemingly most of the viewers here cant enjoy something unless its overloaded with blood, sex, or pop culture jokes.

Either way, this was a masterful little film. Great traditional animation. Great designs on the characters. Flat but not moving as if flat. No wonky limited animation dripping off things.
Lovely full frame animation with follow through, squishiness, and all the things that make silly cartoons fun.

I really liked the design of the mad scientists other 'test subjects' because they looked like crayon scribbles. And seeing them hopping around chasing him down was quite amusing.

Good voice acting too. A little quiet, but very professional sounding.
A really good score to this film as well. The music accentuates the action onscreen but does not overwhelm it.

Really the only nitpick i could pick a nit from would be that there wasnt alot of sound effects used in places where it could be used.

really just a good innocent cartoon overall. something we dont see often on this site, which is a shame.

also are you sure a dvd is a good idea? that could cost you a relative fuckton and put you in a hole for the rest of your life. happened to someone I know.

I run at 20 fps (weird I know) on 2's. Sometimes 1's for really quick or subtle stuff.

The DVD is on hold for a lot of reasons, that being one of them. Funding has always been an issue and it's an issue I'm not prepared to deal with right now. I have to make a few investments in other things before I can even think of funding a DVD, but the posbility is still there, just far off.

Basically it's on hold because I'm not so sure it IS a good idea... right now.

what a twist

I love pretty much everything you've made.

but what a twist. not only was it revealed simon was the king of beavers halfway through the cartoon, but the music style changed.

i can tell you made this and not peabo. actually i havent seen a peabo cartoon from you fellows in a while.
either way, you have a cute way of drawing things.

I had Tom and Jerry on tv while I watched this.

it's an interesting juxtaposition seeing this thing playing in my line of sight right next to tom and jerry.

having these two things bombarding my eyes at once.
couldnt possibly be more different from each other.

it reminds me that the art of animation is pretty much dead these days.
and it reminds me that almost noone cares that its dead.

i voted 5 anyway.
not because i enjoyed it but because anigen helped make this
and he's a nice guy
