Great idea. But it feels half-finished.

The controls are great. The simplistic geometric tank designs fit perfectly. The sound effects are good. The powerup system is good.

Overall, this game is a blast.

HOWEVAH......it has 3 cute problems.

1.) There's no real stages. After defeating the easily killable Queen Hexagon, the game just kinda dies. Also, the stage being square gets boring. Seriously, with physics as good as these, DUDE, you can do so much. Crazy obstacle courses, or even having these little hexagonal dudes racing. Its so open ended, but the lack of stages really closes it off.

2.) Needs more enemies. The square guys are dumber that a sack of rocks. The red guys are a bit more clever, but they are mostly just clingier grey guys. You know what'd be sweet? Enemies who move as fast and shoot as fast as you. Little assassin hexagons. Or guys who explode if they touch you.

3.) MUSIC. ARGggghhhbblllaaffggrabl

that is all. I wish you good glorp.

Yo.

Believe it or not, you audience aint psychic.
Include instructions with these games so people know how to play. Saying "use da arrow" in the authors comments doesnt count.
I nearly blammed this because I had no idea what was going on.

Once I figured out you had to shove coins onto the arrow with the ^<>v keys I saw this was a very clever puzzle game.
The graphics are boring and it needs sound.

But the concept is quite clever. Combining money to make more money and etc.

Good game. But without instructions, impatient people wont give it a chance.

fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun

A very nice variation of tetris attack.
With a dash of "Meteos" tossed in.
Always a fun to play these odd color matching block variation games.

Cute pixxelated art style makes it all the sweeter.

Something I'd play for hours.

Good Gravy!

My god! I dont even want to THINK about all the massive amounts of coding and planning that must have gone into the creation of this game.

You perfectly captured the spirit of Super Smash Brothers in a flash game.
Extremly and amazingly well done.
The only thing I think is that the controls are a dash too frustrating, due mainly to their simplicity.
Making "O' and "P" the only buttons for fighting really makes the combat system to awkward. Half the time I was fighting, I was accidentally switching my characters to their altered forms.
Other than that, this was amazing and awesome in so many ways.

And it makes me yearn for a portable smash brothers. Like one for the Dual Screen. But alas, that may never happen.

300th review ogm.

....hang on a minute....

I understand the basics of programming a game like this. People program in-flash art and drawing programs all the time.

But....how....did you make it so that the line the crayon drew was a bitmapped line as opposed to a vector? How the heck? If not, it must be some crazy new-fangled flash8 effect.

It really looked like crayon drawings on wax paper.

Very fun.

Its like a nintendo DS minigame.

Hellllllllloooo! I love your work btw.

Anyway because you asked, here is a small breakdown of the code...

//Set the initial cursor location
prevx = _xmouse;
prevy = _ymouse;
onEnterFrame = function () {
//Generate a random color
tap = Math.round(Math.random()*0xFFFFFF);
//Draw the first thin line
moveTo(prevx, prevy);
lineStyle(3, tap, 70);
lineTo(_xmouse, _ymouse);
//Draw a second thicker line that leaves smudges by not drawing to the same location
moveTo(prevx, prevy);
lineStyle(8, tap, 10);
lineTo(_xmouse+random(6)-3, _ymouse+random(6)-3);
//And reset the previous coordinate
prevx = _xmouse;
prevy = _ymouse;
};

So basically, every frame, it just draws two lines between the previous cursor location from last frame, one thick and one thin.

Thanks so much for the awesome review, looking forward to future works.

Hilarious.

Pure mindless fun like a good game should be!

Once again Leoz, you provide Newgrounds with an umatched experience.

A LIVE ACTION computer game.
Brilliant in every possible way.
Cute aliens, great integration of live action and simple animation.
Perfectly working actionscript.
Funny as hell.

Yes, this game definitely deserves the big old 5 the proletariots here refuse to give it. This is unlike anything else on the internet. Not even that dang crazy-chicken guy from BurgerKing can match the brilliance of something like this.

And that look on your face in the bathroom = lawlfest

And now.... catterpillar. (*o*)))))))))))))))))>

LeoZ responds:

always a pleasure zekey :)

Nice.

But the hit dtection is waaaay off.

If the shy guy even comes near enemies he asplodes. You might wanna fix that as it makes the game one of those "this can only be beaten by a supercomputer" affairs.

Besides that, this rocked me like a hurricane.

InfectedSoul responds:

i've beaten it. ill try and work on more accurate hitTest. thanks for the reviews

Boo.

Sorry, you lose.

If you are trying to teach people something you need to take it step by step.
Not cram in as many damn things as you possibly can!
If anyone manages to make anything from this tutorial it will be a miracle!
Because the text in this is barely well-written enough to be classified as "gibberish"
