Why Wait?

Translation: I was too lazy to make this anything more than a flash document that slides around the screen. I can see the appeal for trying something like this, but it shouldnt be submitted as a FILM on newgrounds, when its not a film. Its an article. You should set up a flash website and embed these in it.

If you wanted to impress you should have blown the load on this first...thing. Gone all out. This is like a crappy powerpoint presentation.

Also.....seriously....you reviewed Grand Theft Auto 4? Review something more recent. GTA has been out for months and everyone already knows it was bad.

No real redeeming value.
And now Mbot will delete this honest review.

aww what a lovely short

I never see crane shots done in flash. or animation usually. mainly because it requires not only animating the characters but the backrounds and everything else in the shot.
but you did it TWICE.

and actually everything in this looked and moved so smooth and fantastically.
and there was an odd innocence to the story.

and the color schemes made it seem like a giant moving chalk drawing with the pastel colors.

honestly the only thing in this that seemed off was the voice work. the bear/pig things laughter sounded like it was coming out of a bucket.

also for dinner tonight you should have burritos.

I recall one of the first times I ever tried to do traditional animation was on a cartoon about pandas as well.

But this is way different. Nonstop chaos and wonderful shots for each little bit of action.

And the scribbly art style suits it perfectly. It makes this thing look like a giant animated piece of calligraphy. Very impressive.

Also LOL at the people whining about the art style or lack of pretentious story. The same people I'm sure who will later gush about how great "FUNNY MARIO SHORTS PART 1439" is while sprites dance about on their screen.

I do agree with the notion that it was too short. But unlike the rest of these people I actually bothered to read the Author's comments and understand why its short.

If you ever do get the notion to make a longer film done in this same blistering and stylized way, I think it would be a great visual asset to the internet.

Zekey, thanks a lot man! You clearly understand exactly where I was coming from on this one. I appreciate the support!

I'd love to do a full length animation in this style, I really got to loosen up and enjoy just the act of animating. One of my goals was to stay instinctual and just draw from the gut and it's really a liberating feeling to leave an imperfect line there. I'd really recommend it for anyone who feels in a rut.

Very very good. Very nice animation. And as I subtly mentioned already, a really great soundtrack which totally set the mood for this whole piece.
