Sweet.
I love this flash so much Dyna.
You are one of the few people online who actually uses Sprites as a way to accentuate your already-great animation and story-telling abilities. You dont use them as a crutch like so many lesser artists.
This had better win a fecking award.

Thanks, Zekey. Your impression, as a fellow animator, means a lot to me.

How I love thee!
Let me count the ways.
I am so glad you uploaded this.
And it seems most people liked it except the 1-2 idiot fanboys.
Author's Response:
The fanboys amuse me greatly.
Especially those who think "u" is an English word.

I understand the basics of programming a game like this. People program in-flash art and drawing programs all the time.
But....how....did you make it so that the line the crayon drew was a bitmapped line as opposed to a vector? How the heck? If not, it must be some crazy new-fangled flash8 effect.
It really looked like crayon drawings on wax paper.
Very fun.
Its like a nintendo DS minigame.
Author's Response:
Hellllllllloooo! I love your work btw.
Anyway because you asked, here is a small breakdown of the code...
//Set the initial cursor location
prevx = _xmouse;
prevy = _ymouse;
onEnterFrame = function () {
//Generate a random color
tap = Math.round(Math.random()*0xFFFFFF);
//Draw the first thin line
moveTo(prevx, prevy);
lineStyle(3, tap, 70);
lineTo(_xmouse, _ymouse);
//Draw a second thicker line that leaves smudges by not drawing to the same location
moveTo(prevx, prevy);
lineStyle(8, tap, 10);
lineTo(_xmouse+random(6)-3, _ymouse+random(6)-3);
//And reset the previous coordinate
prevx = _xmouse;
prevy = _ymouse;
};
So basically, every frame, it just draws two lines between the previous cursor location from last frame, one thick and one thin.
Thanks so much for the awesome review, looking forward to future works.

This is one of those very rare gems in the animation world that managed to combine good humor, cute character design, and great animation intoi one simple package.
And the animation in this episode is mindblowingly good. Brackenwood-quality proffesional stuff. Well done. It had me glued to my seat. Great shots, angles, follow through, chroeography, and slow motion bits.
A mini masterpeice in its own right.

I dont know if you are still responding to reviews or not, but I loved this.
I think this is your best flash. Not that I didnt love the Ultimate Showdown, but this was just great. Crazy trippy atmosphere, happy music, wiggly drawings.
Different smooth adn sweet. Shame the score is so slow.
Friggin newgrounders too busy stealing from peter to pay paul.
Author's Response:
Thanks, I think this is my best as well.
I don't mind if it has a low score or if it didn't get on front page or whatever, it just goes to show that Newgrounds is pretty much 80% glamour, 20% talent.
It's pretty clear to see why popular artists never get any better at what they do (not to name any names), because it's continued mediocrity thats rewarded, not improvement.
