Good concept, simple but smooth traditional animation.
Funny ending.

Good cartoon.

And ROTOTO is a good studio name. It's weird but sounds legit.

I didn't laugh. But I was thoroughly amused and entertained. The script is solid, the voice acting is good, the characters arent annoying.
AND, best of all, it's a cartoon not drawn in an overused anime style!

And for that, good sirs, I voted 5.

Keep up the good work. This is better than most things on tv.

Bat on the loose (remake)

"you're back!"

date: December 16, 2007

Seems like it's been forever since you submitted "The Red Hood" and I checked out all your cartoons, happy to find someone making Batman fanflash in the style of The Animated Series by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

This remake was alot better than the original. Not perfect, the redone character models that are more complex are great, but stick out a bit too much with the "The Animated Series" vector style backrounds.

It's nice to see you head more towards the darker Christopher Nolan "Batman Begins" batverse, even using the sweet music from the movie. I assume in your next Batman cartoon we'll be seeing the Nolan yellow color palette as opposed to the red and grey of TAS.

Anyway, as always a nice short.

It's always nice when the multiple artists of Koms come to Newgrounds to submit their work.

Wonderful trippy visual style very reminiscent of the other two Koms artists who submit their work regularly here.

There was also some good traditional animation poked in here and there that I noticed amongst all the trippy shape tweens.
Good flash.

I loved this, just as I love all your unique weird flash things.

This one gave me a distinct Lovecraft vibe though. Intentional?

Bill Murray Apocalypse

"my god"

date: December 13, 2007

If only poor Bill Murray himself were still alive to see this. He would shed a tear no doubt. A tear made of the glee and laughter he so unselfishly gave to America in his long and arduous career.
Oh Bill. Oh Billy Bill.
Oh Billy Bill Billiam Billed Bill Bill.

"what the shit!?!?!?"

submission: Buetz Mich

I have no clue what I just watched. But it made me rather moist. Rather moist indeed.

It featured four studdly men bellowing music in another language. I know not what language it was and for all intents and purposes will assume it was from the moon.

Candy Hole #1

"is good in the mouth"

submission: Candy Hole #1

This cartoon seems almost satirical in a way. As if it's poking fun and the ooey gooey happy cartoons of the early 90's that were all about teaching "lessons" to kids with moral messages all over the place.

Except in this case, the cartoons have been posessed by Satan.

The thing that really made this funny was the timing. Just the right holds and poses and sounds adding to the whole experience. Quite snort inducing indeed.

I don't even want to know where the bitmaps for their teeth came from.

Super MarioWars (Trailer)

"Please."

date: December 11, 2007

If you feel you must make a sprite cartoon, at least put in some effort and give it a backround.

Staring at two colorful pixxelated blobs whaking each other with shoddily edited lightsabers is hard enough. It's harder when they are on a bland black backround.

If this is only a trailer, I cant say I'm looking forward to the final product too much.
Why not surprise everyone and make it hand-drawn instead of sprites?

Author's Response:

I have only taken tutorials in Sprites so far. I am not going to waste that.

the Musical Evenizer

"brilliance."

date: December 5, 2007

The whole "music IS the gameplay" thing is not used enough in games.
Aplitude, DDR, Guitar Hero, Frequency, Musical Lantern. There's so few despite the fact that these sort of games are so addicting and engaging. Its fun to play to music, just like how cartoons are more fun when synced to music.

So I'm playing this and having a good ol fun time, and I notice a review where a guy talked about uploading music to this thing and how great it was and I'm like "wha?"

How on earth? I assume the mp3's are temporarily stored on a server somewhere or something. Either way its a clever little addition that really gives this replay value coming out the wazoo.
The graphics in this arent great, but you drew them, you didnt trace them, or use sprites.

I started off by putting in "Supernova" by Dragonland which sent all the block smashing against the ceiling since its such a loud song. Same goes with Craig Armstrong's epic "Escape" music.
Afterwards I stuck in some A[hex Twin, which, as expected made the blocks fly up and down in the most bizarre ways imaginable.
I then tried a few tracks from the Super Mario movie soundtrack, the Baron Munchausen soundtrack. Some Ween, some Smash Mouth.

It really is very addicting.
It'd be neat if there were other modes of gamplay, like shooting down rockets that fly out of a bunker in tune to the music using a crossair or something along those lines. Or hell, a whole sidescrolling adventure game where the world and enemies are carved out by whatever track of music happens to be playing.

Either way, this is the most creative flash game I've seen in a while. Good show, I gave it a hearty 5.
