Great Cartoons - pigeon edition - by ZekeySpaceyLizard

So the first chunk of this post will be films by Sylvain Chomet
Chomet is an incredible French artist and animator who's made quite alot of wonderful things. Not the least of which was his movie The Triplets of Belleville which came out quite a few years ago which you should really see.

Its a really great weird film.

anyway

in 1991 he started work on a movie called The Old Lady and the Pigeons
he finished it in 1996
and some wonderful chap finally put it on youtube so here it is in 3 parts

As is obvious, he is not a fan of tourism, clearly

he's also made a short film a few years ago for a movie Paris Je'Taime which is a really good film
i dont know if he ever did live action before, but its a very cute imaginative film

my friend Thor Clob of Blunders showed this to me

I remember seeing a preview for "The Triplets of Belleville" and I wanted to see it, but never got around to it.

"La Vieille Dame Et Les Pigeons" was badass, though, thank you for sharing that! (The ending was awesome...and the end to the ending was okay. lol)

After seeing this, though, I'm definately going to check out the Triplets. Thank you, Zekey!

Heh, the way he sees American tourists is actually pretty accurate. Especially the fat kid in the American flag shirt, or all of them speaking in a southern accent. I wish Disney still made traditional animation like this guy... Instead, they just make crappy, generic CG movies now. I miss traditional animation like this.
